I would highly recommend it. The civilian courses are designed just like the military ones. They are pretty expensive, but the US Army Sniper school was honest to God, the most fun I have had in my entire life. I learned how to blow out a 1 inch circle at 600 meters. When you are all done, you feel like the most Alpha guy in the world.

My old rifle I shot 1/4 " groups at 100 yards with it.

Sold it and the guy, in a class, shot a 5 inch group at 1000 yards with it.

.308

Just never learned any of the tactics for sniping, always focuses on the stuff I would more likely use, CQB

But getting back into guns, so this will be fun
Respectfully,
Bravo

Yeah Bravo, anything under a 1 MOA (minute of angle) shot group is way higher than the standard. Also, the .308 Lapua is an awesome round for longer range shooting.

I love doing CQB. Viking Tactics has a great plywood cut out design for practicing all different types of shooting positions.

Wow tons of experience in here. I guess this can serve as my semi introduction post.

Enlisted active duty in the Corps in Nov 2007. Will be getting out this summer hopefully late June/early July if the damn early out would hurry up and get approved. 5811 MP by trade. Was stationed in 29palms for my first two years doin the garrison/PMO thing. Anyone familiar with the area will tell you how much it sucks there lol. Had an opportunity to go do the Marine Security Guard program and guard embassies but turned it down to go to a field unit in Okinawa where I am now. Came out here hoping to catch one Afghan deployment before I got out but wasn't in my cards. Ended up deploying to the Philippines with Joint Special Operations Task Force which sounds pretty badass but I honestly didn't do anything all that exciting out there.

Trained on the M16, M9, 240, 249, MK19, "ma deuce", OC spray, open hand/baton def tac, less then lethal weapons. CQB and infantry tactics I've trained in but not nearly as extensively as some of you guys. My main focus has been law enforcement stuff, convoy security, route clearance, and personal security details so I can help out with those areas.

Hmmm what else... wrestling in Jr high and some in high school. Nothing to brag about there. Beat the guys I should've and lost to the guys I probably should've lol. Some crappy martial arts training in the Corps but I do enjoy grappling quite a bit.

My biggest thing the past two years has been power lifting. I cant seem to read/learn enough and am constantly on different forums researching stuff. Best competition lifts were about a year and half ago @210 bw with a 245 bench, 405 squat, 415 deadlift. Best gym lifts from the past 4 months @230 bw are 285 bench, 475 squat, and 455 deadlift. Unfortunately, just tweaked my back towards the end of my deployment so the gym is gonna be on hiatus for a bit while I work on swimming.

Pretty open guy so if anyone has any questions I'm happy to help. Especially when it comes to the gym stuff. Cant get enough and I love training people and giving them workouts when they ask for it.

I don't know shit, lol. But here's my Bio:

I spent my whole life not knowing anything about game and not working on it. I ran for a while under the assumption that people would like you for you and that you should "Just be yourself". But now I am more experienced and realize that it is rather stupid to not try and grow yourself and your knowledge. I have also realized over time that there was a lot more women out there that liked me and I didn't even know it. After reviewing my dates over the last 6 months I realized that I have been getting IOI's from women I never new liked me. I even had a 10 last year who was giving me ridiculous IOI's and I never even noticed.

From an Armory standpoint I have studied a couple years of Tae Kwon Crap, one year of Brazillian Jiu KickAss, and about 5 years of Judo. After a while I stopped fearing as much so have let off on those sort of things. These days I focus more on guns and self defense incorporating that, and building a life style that doesn't make me a target, for instance I installed spot lights and cameras around my home, I don't wear my expensive watches and gold necklace everywhere, that sort of design that doesn't take continual maintenance. But I also do the stuff that does need to be maintained like practice shooting, awareness, etc...

Just because I don't want to argue........Since I put up the spot lights, no one has been robbed or any spray painted any area around my house or across the street where I have the lights facing. Which two homes were robbed and about a dozen spots spray painted around my home and across the street last year. :o It could very well be a coincidence, but given that it is the only change, I intend to keep them up.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum! .....................................................Formerly: WhatWhat....................................................

I started with Krav maga in 2001. I wanted to fight so went to Team Quest in gresham Oregon. I had four am MMA fights and one kickboxing fight while there.

I left TQ and basically went Ronin for some time. I trained BJJ,wrestling,Thaiboxing,Western boxing and kickboxing and a little Judo, freestyle Jujitsu and the random Silat and Kali class.

I joined a new team that did Muay Boran,Pancration and Catch wrestling. Winning all of my 12 fights by KO or TKO with one RNC win for the Am belt in the FCFF at 185lbs. I got caught once by a former team memeber Tyson Jefferies who fought in Bellator shortly after. (can't remember when exactly I have been hit in the head alot)

I had bought into a gym and also went Pro. I lost my two pro fights and by this time ten plus years deep decided I didn't want to devote all my time, energy and life to MMA.

I did one fianl kickboxing smoker match for charity. One of my former coaches had brain cancer and it was a benefit for him.

I now coach and volunteer my time for free.

I now consider myself a martial artist and not a fighter. My students love my unorthodox style and comedic classes where they are routinely punished for not thinking with push ups, jump sqaut's and me jumping in there round's when I think they are sand bagging. Where I rip out more potential out of them

Quick bio in regards to this section...

I wrestled for three years in high school. Would have wrestled all four but I hated my coach with such a passion I could not wrestle with him again. Anyway, 2 days after I turned 18 I went out and bought my first rifle, a custom AR-15. Day I turned 21, went and bought a Smith & Wesson M&P .40 Shield. My collection is building fast. I have three pistols and four rifles.

Always down to talk firearms, 2nd amendment politics, gunsmithing (although I have VERY limited knowledge, still willing to learn more), tactics, tips, whatever.
