So true. So simple but so very true.
I saw many guys come to my old boxing gym that were in pretty good shape, look like they had form down, and like they had some potential. After getting in the ring for some sparring a month or two in they flat out just didn't like getting cracked in the chops and stopped coming.
yeah same here saw a lot of guys leave because they were good at their kata's and decent at sparring, but when you hit them in the face durring sparring they either:
A) Get Really Defensive the rest of the time and sucked at fighting
B) Stop going altogether
Just have a friend full mount you and punch you in the face repeatedly and you'll get use to it
